Transition Optical is an optical lens manufacturer whose first facility was established in the Tampa Bay area in 1990.  ASE was engaged to help them design their low humidity manufacturing facility due to major growth in the company.  The facility was expanded to 65,000 square feet and included ISO 5 and ISO 7 cleanrooms.  The expansion required a complete central plant renovation, relocating an existing 500 ton chiller, adding a 1,000 ton chiller, adding a dual cell cooling tower, adding pumps, boilers and heat exchangers. The mechanical and control systems capacity were designed  to reach relative humidity levels below 40% at 72F. This is a perfect example of ASE’s expertise in providing custom HVAC design for low humidity spaces.
