ASE was engaged to provide engineering and design for a paintball (softgel design) facility. International Paintball’s Softgel Plant houses machinery to product softgel paint balls.  The material is similar to the material used in softgel capsules in the pharmaceutical industry, thus the environment to produce the paintballs must be controlled.  The softgel plant in Pinellas County, FL utilized Kathabar liquid desiccant technology in combination with specially designed drying tunnels to cut the drying time of the softgel paintballs by 60%. This technology enable optimized curing times without reheat, saving time and increasing productivity. This is an example of ASE’s ability to provide complex design for a unique facility.
